There’s a quiet kind of loneliness that can slip into grief.
Not just missing your person, but noticing how the people around you start to fade out a little. Fewer texts. Fewer check‑ins. Fewer invitations. It can feel like you’re slowly being left on the edge of things.
If that’s been happening for you, you’re not making it up.
Grief can be really uncomfortable for people. Sometimes they don’t know what to say. Sometimes your loss wakes up something in them they aren’t ready to look at.
But their pulling away is not about your value.
You are not too much.
You are not doing this wrong.
You are not a burden.
One of the hardest parts of grief is trying not to carry other people’s reactions on top of your own pain. You’re already holding so much.
If today feels heavy, I’m glad you’re here. You don’t have to do this alone.
